Personal Review of Samsung Valencia C6625

This article is based from my personal review and can be different with other people opinion.
Early September 2010, I purchased Samsung Valencia C6625 on online stores Bhinneka.com.
I bought this smartphone to replace my old school HP Sony Ericsson T610. I have been using sony ericsson T610 HP for 6 years.

its perfect for browsing, connect to several social network site, keeping in touch with work colleagues on the go, easy email, calendar, .
this gadget equiped with 2 mega pixel camera for still picture and video recording, 3G Tri-band handset, FM radio, aGPS and bluetooth.
the aGPS (assisted GPS) is very interesting and nice feature for me, altough its phone is low budget but full of features.

I’ve tried several applications and features on the Samsung C6625:
camera: the image is less sharp if used for photographing objects in very close range (micro mode), knowing there is no auto focus, but generally the resulting picture is still better than 2 Mega pixel camera other non AF.
camcorder function, the resulting video frame rate is smooth because of the support 25 fps.
modem: easy to connected with other computer, quite smoothly browsing through the laptop, whereas the signal at my place less stable. (Moved around a network of GPRS, EDGE, 3G)
Google maps: best if running outside the home or outside the building, it took several minutes to detect the GPS satellites.
Opera Mini 5 Beta: multi-tab features, web interface is much like the desktop, more efficient pulse if the picture settings set to low.
I often use the Opera Mini mobile is to open up, rather than using a Facebook application that eat more data volume.
Palringo: save data volume, stable, support multi-client chat (Facebook, IM, AIM, Gadu-Gadu, ICQ, etc.)

Youtube: to play videos on Youtube with a much smoother and more efficient data use Youtube Feather, detailed info about the “Youtube Feather” please click HERE .

advantages:
2.6 inch screen super wide, with a color depth of 262K color LCD
crystal clear sound and features DNSe for media player
GPRS, EDGE, 3G, 3.5G, video call
aGPS (asisted GPS) suitable for traveller
home screen display can be modified and changed to our taste
Elegant design, good body finishing, lightweight and comfortable on the handheld
high quality 2 Mega pixel camera, video smooth with high frame rate
provided with data cable, handsfree, CD, charger adapter, quick start guide.
best price (under $144)

disadvantage:
camera no auto focus and flash light (can be overcome with the feature night shoot)
does not feature WiFi (if you want wifi should add itself with mini SDCARD wifi)
there is no standard 3.5mm audio jack (audio jack is using interface from Samsung)
FM radio is less sensitive to catch the signal.

screen difficult to see if it was taken outdoors during the day.

performance slows down when running many applications or multitasking.
(Use task manager to stop the application that is not used or not needed)
